一、培養(yǎng)目標 本專業(yè)旨在培養(yǎng)符合國家經(jīng)濟建設(shè)和社會發(fā)展需要，在德、智、體、美方面全面發(fā)展，具有扎實的 德語語言基本功、良好的綜合素質(zhì)、適應(yīng)時代發(fā)展的合理知識結(jié)構(gòu)的高素質(zhì)應(yīng)用型人才，同時也具有國 際化視野和跨文化的交流、競爭與合作能力，期待畢業(yè)生五年左右達到以下目標： 1、具有良好的修養(yǎng)與道德水準； 2、具備扎實的德語語言基礎(chǔ)和廣博的文化知識； 3、能在科技、經(jīng)貿(mào)、教育、文化、旅游等部門從事相關(guān)工作; 4、能夠通過終身學(xué)習(xí)拓展自己的知識和能力； 5、有意愿創(chuàng)新實踐，并有能力服務(wù)社會。 I.Educational Objectives This program is designed to prepare students as competent, application-oriented majors who are accommodated to the economic development of the socialist market; balanced in their development of morality, intelligence and physical fitness; comprehensively competent in overall quality, equipped with proficient German language performance and a reasonable knowledge structure that adapts to the development of the times. Talents also have an international vision and cross-cultural communication, competition and cooperation capabilities. In about 5 years, they are expected to reach the following goals:  1. Having good manner and excellent moralities; 2. equipped with sound knowledge of the German language and broad understanding of other disciplines; 3. qualified for positions in such fields as science, technology, trading, education, cultural communication, tourism, etc. 4. An ability to develop ones’ own knowledge and abilities through lifelong learning; 5. Graduates are expected to meet the following academic goals five years after graduation: 1. A full understanding of national conditions including state policies, regulations, etc. and an international vision; 2. A solid foundation in English with good skills in English listening, speaking, reading, writing and outstanding abilities of translating and interpreting between Chinese and English; 3. Extensive knowledge of Chinese and western cultures and familiarity with a specific subject field; 4. Remarkable abilities of understanding and writing in Chinese; 5. Detailed knowledge of the latest developments in the profession of translation and interpreting and ability in literature search and translation research; 6. Theoretical knowledge: detailed knowledge of the English language, linguistics, translation and interpreting, and relevant scientific and technological field(s); 2. Cultural literacy: a full understanding of national conditions in China and politics, economy, society and culture in English speaking countries plus comprehensive knowledge of the humanities; 3. Knowledge and skills for the profession of translation and interpreting: good skills in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, outstanding abilities of translating and interpreting between Chinese and English, remarkable abilities of understanding and writing in Chinese, profound knowledge of the profession of translation and interpreting, and abilities in literature search and translation research; 4. Practical skills: necessary skills in computer operation, ability of using computer-assisted translation software to facilitate written translation, knowledge and skills of using simultaneous interpretation equipment, and rich experience of translation and interpreting; 5. Professional qualities and a strong sense of responsibility: an understanding of and readiness to observe professional norms and ethical rules in translation practice, a sense of confidentiality and willingness to protecting confidential information for clients; 6. Teamwork spirit and ability of project management: ability of working in a group either as an ordinary member or as the group leader, and that of managing a project; 7. Skills for interpersonal communication: ability of effectively communicating with clients, authors of the original texts, potential readers or audience, peer translators or interpreters, and the public regarding the work to be translated, and that of functioning as a bridge between different cultures, adequate knowledge and skills of the second foreign language; 8. Ability and habit of lifelong learning: acute awareness of the importance of lifelong learning and remarkable ability of learning constantly so as to adapt to the rapidly-changing profession and society.
